Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home and online tutoring company dedicated to igniting a love of learning. We’re seeking experienced elementary tutors and teachers to empower students, create personalized plans, and provide both remedial and enrichment opportunities.

You’ll collaborate with parents to communicate progress and foster a positive, engaging learning environment. Ideal candidates are certified teachers or those pursuing certification, with a passion for education and a commitment

Qualifications

• Current, valid registration with the Virginia Department of Education.
• Qualified teacher in the United States or in the process of becoming one.
• Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at a U.S. or Canadian university.
• Experience teaching Orton-Gillingham reading and special education.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the Virginia curriculum.
• Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support or a challenge.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.
