Job summary

Alma del Mar in New Bedford, MA seeks an Associate Teacher to join a grade-level team and grow into a lead teacher. You will plan lessons, co-teach, and receive ongoing coaching and professional development.

The role starts around August 1, 2026 with school hours 8:20–4:00. Compensation begins at $42,000, and multilingual candidates are paid higher. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A passion for working with kids and a belief that all kids can succeed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as part of a grade-level team under guidance of Lead Teachers.

• Receive ongoing professional development and targeted feedback and coaching.
• Weekly meetings with a manager who supports you.
• Fully stocked supply closets for all classroom needs (+ a supply budget).
• Prep periods every day.
