Job summary

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a Tier II Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers at Pashley Elementary School. The position offers 6.5 hours per day during the school year at Pashley Elementary School.

The ideal candidate will hold a NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate or be willing to obtain one, possess a high school diploma, and work well in a team with teachers and staff throughout the district.

Qualifications

• NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate Required or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing instructional and classroom support to students.
• Assisting students with academic and behavioral needs.
• Supporting individual and small-group activities.
• Reinforcing lessons and directions provided by the classroom teacher.
• Assisting with classroom organization and daily routines.
• Maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the building administration.
