Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Teacher in Alabama to deliver instruction aligned with state standards and district priorities. The role requires current Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with area endorsement and compliance with background clearance requirements.

You will develop long-range plans, set learning objectives, and design engaging activities for diverse learners while maintaining a safe, positive classroom environment and supporting school-wide improvement

Responsibilities

• Create or select long-range plans based on system and state curriculum priorities, student profiles and instructional priorities
• Define goals and objectives for unit and daily plans
• Identify specific intended learning outcomes that are challenging, meaningful and measurable
• Plan and prepare a variety of learning activities considering individual student’s culture, learning styles, special needs and socio-economic backgrounds
• Establish and maintain a positive and safe learning environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
• Establish and use behavior techniques which are appropriate and effective
• Support school improvement initiatives by active participation in school activities, services, and programs
