Berkeley Charter Education Association seeks an Elementary Teacher (K–5) to educate students at Willie Jeffries School of Excellence. You will plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons, assess progress, and foster a positive classroom culture in a full-time, exempt role.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education or related field and, preferably, South Carolina teaching certification. Strong classroom management, communication, and organization are essential.

Elementary Teacher (Kindergarten–5th Grade)

Location: Willie Jeffries School of Excellence

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports To: Principal

Position Overview: The Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades K–5. This role involves planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Assess student performance and provide feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices.
• Uphold school policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned.
