ACCEL Schools is hiring an Elementary Teacher for Columbus Bilingual Central in Columbus, Ohio. The role targets grades K-5 within a bilingual, culturally diverse setting and a strong PBIS framework.

Fall 2025 opening with a curriculum designed to foster leadership and lifelong learning. The candidate should hold an active Ohio teaching license, have a Bachelor’s in education, and thrive in a growth-focused coaching environment with ongoing observations and progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort with a growth-focused coaching environment based on observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Able to supervise students in different school settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify during the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for learning.
• Utilize curricula reflecting students’ diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology to support learning.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively.

About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities of the Teacher include to-

About You:

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.)
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working within an urban environment

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $41,000 - 49,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
