If you're not yet certified but are willing to work toward it, including through Michigan's Interim Teaching Certificate (ITC) pathway, we want to hear from you. EMAN offers a tuition assistance program to assist all teaching staff in attaining certification or pursuing a higher degree in the field of education. We also offer mentoring within their first 3 years of teaching and professional development onsite for all staff by dedicating every Friday afternoon to professional development.

  • Plan and deliver core subject instruction matched to each student's current level
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on results
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on progress, behavior, and goals
  • Work with teachers and school leadership to improve curriculum and classroom practice
  • Maintain accurate records, including grades, attendance, and IEP/504 documentation
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with K-8 Self-Contained Endorsement, or actively pursuing certification through an approved pathway (see above)
  • Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and commitment to growth
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students and families
Preferred:
  • Experience with Google Classroom, SMART Boards, or similar classroom tech
  • Experience teaching multilingual learners or English language learners
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary plus a performance bonus up to $5,000
  • Free medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Tuition reimbursement, including toward a Master's degree
  • 401(k) match
