Part-time, as-needed work with potential for daily pay variations and occasional bonuses. Base pay starts at $110 per full day for non-certified substitutes and $120 for certified teachers, with an extra $10 on select days and a $200 monthly bonus if 15 days are completed in a month.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Attend an orientation/training session.
• Candidate must authorize Murfreesboro City Schools to conduct a criminal history search/fingerprinting.
• Must follow oral and written directions and maintain effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain discipline and classroom control per school policies.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Report to office on arrival and clarify rules as needed.
• Implement approved lesson plans when the teacher is absent.
• Dismiss students before leaving the building.
• Maintain routines and classroom procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
