Job summary

Dream Center Evansville seeks an Elementary Student Success Coach/Program Leader to support Delaware Elementary students during the school day and lead Dream Center Evansville programming after school. The role blends school-based coaching with out-of-school time leadership, focusing on goal setting, academics, SEL, Bible-based ministry, and creating a safe, structured environment.

Qualifications include at least one year of classroom experience, 21+, church member, and willingness to drive

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children and managing a classroom.
• Must be a member or regular attendee of a Bible-believing church and have a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Willing to drive 15-passenger vans/buses (must be 21+).
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Delaware Elementary staff to support Dream Center students during the school day.
• Provide small group and one-on-one coaching focused on goal setting, academic success, and social-emotional learning.
• Assist with student supervision during lunch, recess, and other designated times.
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging program environment aligned with the mission and values of Dream Center Evansville.
• Cultivate a Christ-centered culture that supports students’ spiritual growth.
• Plan and lead activities and curricula for after-school programming, including Bible-based ministry.
• Implement classroom management and positive youth development practices.
• Support out-of-school academic interventions.

Position Summary

This position is a combined role of student success coaching at Delaware Elementary School and program leading at Dream Center Evansville (DCE) as defined by the following descriptions.

Student Success Coaching (School‑Based)

• Collaborate with Delaware Elementary staff to support Dream Center students during the school day
• Provide small group and one‑on‑one coaching focused on
  • Goal setting
  • Academic success
  • Social‑emotional learning (SEL)
• Assist with student supervision during lunch, recess, and other designated times
• Build positive, supportive relationships with students and school personnel

Program Leadership (Out‑of‑School Time)

• Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and structured program environment that aligns with the mission and values of Dream Center Evansville
• Cultivate a Christ‑centered culture that supports students’ spiritual growth
• Build meaningful connections with students to encourage participation and engagement
• Plan and lead:
  • High‑quality classroom and gym activities that promote learning and growth
  • Social Emotional Learning curriculum
  • Bible‑based ministry curriculum
• Implement:
  • Effective classroom management strategies
  • Positive youth development practices
• Support out‑of‑school academic interventions

Job Specifications / Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children and managing a classroom setting (preferred)
• Models behavior consistent with Christ’s teaching
• Must be a member or regular attendee of a Bible‑believing church
• Has a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Can multitask effectively
• Passionate about changing the lives of students in the Jacobsville community
• Be 21 years of age and willing to be trained to drive 15‑passenger vans/buses
• Demonstrates strong relationship building skills with children and adults

Conditions of Employment

• Pass a volunteer background check and hold a valid driver’s license
• Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to, abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud
