Job summary

ASHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 is seeking a temporary Student Affinity Group Advisor for TRAILS Outdoor School. The role coordinates one elementary affinity group and supports up to three others, including monthly meetings, snacks, and planning. Start date is 08/31/2026.

This position requires regular attendance, collaboration with site administrators, and maintaining confidentiality while facilitating discussions on identity and belonging in a developmentally appropriate manner.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating student groups and meetings.
• Ability to facilitate discussions on identity, equity, and belonging.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive student spaces.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate one elementary affinity group, meeting at least 45 minutes monthly.
• Support up to 3 additional affinity groups, including logistics and supplies.
• Maintain confidential attendance records and assist with outreach to families.
• Collaborate with site administrators and district staff to ensure safe, inclusive programming.
