Coweta School District I-17 is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is based at Mission Intermediate Grade School and involves fostering student success through effective curriculum implementation and student support. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and State Certification. Responsibilities include developing curriculum, promoting a safe learning environment, and conducting assessments to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications

  • Oklahoma State Certification in the appropriate grade level preferred.
  • Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills.
  • Develop and administer school elementary curriculum consistent with goals.
  • Promote a classroom environment conducive to individualized instruction.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning.
  • Encourage parental involvement in students' education.

Skills

Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
Ability to organize and coordinate work
Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance

Education

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline
Oklahoma State Certification as an Elementary Teacher
