Job summary

REGIONAL SCHOOL UNIT NO. 57 is seeking a Speech-language Pathologist for Waterboro Elementary School. The role provides comprehensive evaluations, therapy, and interventions for students, along with consultation to families, staff, and educational teams.

The position reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education and building administrators. Qualifications include ME SLP certification/licensure (preferred) or a bachelor’s with ME certification and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with educational teams to support student needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs.
• Conduct assessments of speech, voice, fluency, and language impairments.
• Identify students with potential speech/language needs through screening.
• Support teachers in recognizing and referring students with impairments.
• Consult with teachers and staff on speech and language development.
