Job summary

Center for Lifelong Learning, a public school program of the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey, located in Parlin, NJ, seeks a Special Education Teacher for elementary grades. The position is a ten-month assignment with immediate start pending criminal history clearance.

Responsibilities include delivering instructional services, developing IEP/ISIP-based plans, reporting progress, and coordinating with administrators and districts.

• Other qualifications the Board may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services to assigned students and assess needs; schedule and develop individual student plans; prepare progress reports and conferences.
• Communicate student progress to program administrators, nonpublic school staff, parents and sending districts.
• Demonstrate diverse teaching strategies aligned with student learning styles.
• Establish positive rapport and classroom management in line with district policy and laws.
• Maintain professional competence and confidentiality; participate in curricula to enhance learning.
