Job summary

Rockford Area Schools is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional at Rockford Elementary School. The role supports students under a licensed teacher, assists with classroom tasks, and helps promote participation and safety throughout the day.

Position offers 3.5–8 hours per day across ~180 school days per year, with potential 1:1 or group support and a bus route. Salary range: $19.54-$23.32/hr.

Qualifications

• HQ or Associate Degree required; HQed prior to starting.
• First Aid and CPR certified (preferred).
• Handle with Care certified (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist students under supervision of a licensed Special Education Teacher.
• Support 1:1 and small group activities in classroom and settings.
• Promote participation and ensure student safety and engagement.
• Track goal data and report progress as directed.
