Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Special Education Para-Educator II in Cedar Ridge to support instructional goals and assist students with special needs. The role is non-contract with a 5.5-hour workday and an hourly rate of $17.67.

You will work under the supervision of a classroom teacher, help implement IEP plans, monitor student behavior, and support in a variety of activities. Qualifications include being 16+ years old and having a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting teachers and students in a classroom setting.
• Familiarity with IEP goals and behavioral plans is a plus.
• Ability to adapt activities to meet student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and instruction for students with special needs.
• Assist in implementing instruction plans and monitoring behavior.
• Support teachers with data collection and reporting.
• Attend trainings such as first aid and emergency procedures.
• Maintain instructional materials and classroom files.
• Assist with self-care activities and health-related tasks as needed.
• Communicate with school staff about student progress.
