Qualifications

• Licensed as a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS-I) in the State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Functions as IEP Case Manager to assigned students.
• Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans.
• Participates in initial evaluations and reevaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Attends IEP, 504 Plan, and other student meetings as appropriate.
• Provides consultation to general education teachers to support students in accessing the educational environment.
• Provides research-based specialized instruction to address IEP goals and ensures services in the least restrictive environment.
• Communicates progress to staff, parents and administration.
• Maintains confidential records and adheres to district policies and state/federal rules.
