Job summary

Invo Healthcare is seeking a full-time Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our IMPACT program in Lakeland, FL. You will provide research-based instruction aligned to each student’s IEP and coordinate the delivery of special education services across the classroom.

The role stresses individualized instruction, collaboration with parents and a multidisciplinary team, and supervision of aides. A bachelor’s degree and state licensure with Special Education and Elementary certification are

Qualifications

  • To qualify, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Hold current state licensure as a Teacher with Special Education certification as well as Elementary certification.
  • Experience working with child and adolescent populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP.
  • Employing various teaching techniques and principles to enable students to meet IEP goals.
  • Coordinating the delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP.
  • Creating a positive learning experience with an emphasis on individualized instruction using appropriate resources.
  • Providing direction, supervision and evaluation of classroom aides as directed.
  • Collaborating with parents and the multidisciplinary team to increase student success.
  • Collaborating with QMHP and BCBA on mental health and behavior supports in the classroom.
