Liberty Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to develop individualized education plans addressing academics, interpersonal skills, and daily living activities. The role includes creating lesson plans, delivering group and individual instruction, and collaborating with teachers and administrators for instructional improvement.

The position is for the 2027-2028 school year, requiring a Missouri teaching certificate and related experience.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in job related area.
Missouri State Teaching Certificate.
Job related experience is required.
Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Mansioni

Administers developmental testing programs and district/state tests for assessing student progress and developing IEPs.
Advises parents/guardians on student progress and classroom goals.
Assess progress toward objectives and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
Collaborates with classroom teachers to implement established curriculum and student plans.
Maintains confidential records (e.g. IEPs) and relevant documentation.
Manages student behavior to provide a safe and productive learning environment.
Schedules para-professionals and other staff for instructional activities.
Responds to emergencies and inquiries from students, parents, and staff.
