Job summary

Berwyn North School District 98 is seeking a Special Education Teacher/Educator to increase student achievement through IEP-guided instruction. The role requires implementing standards-based instruction, providing accommodations, and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.

Candidates should hold a PEL with a Special Education endorsement and a Bachelor's in Education; a Master’s degree and ESL/Bilingual endorsements are preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional Educator's Licence (PEL) with degree/endorsement in Special Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Master's Degree preferred
• ESL/Bilingual endorsements preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist students with developing thinking skills and content knowledge
• Provide accommodations and modifications as needed
• Plan and implement standards-based instruction
• Establish a positive classroom environment and culture for learning
• Analyze data and action-planning
• Provide reports for and attend IEP meetings
• Provide data and reports that are evidence of student progress
• Consistently communicating with stakeholders
