Position Title

Elementary School Special Education Teacher (2026-2027 SY)

Position Summary

A successful candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and have strong oral and written communication skills. Appropriate DESE licensure in Moderate is required and candidates should have previous experience working with elementary school students with a variety of disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairment, Communication Disorders, etc. Restraint training and three years of experience is preferred.

• Collecting and analyzing behavioral and academic data
• Providing specially designed instruction in both inclusion and pull‑out settings
• Scheduling integration time for students
• Providing supervision to paraprofessionals
• Supporting social skills development
