Job summary

The Lenox Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional for Morris Elementary School in Lenox, MA. The role involves supporting students with IEPs in both general and special education settings, implementing accommodations, and assisting with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral interventions in collaboration with teachers and families.

Hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with compensation between $21.00 and $25.50 per hour for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Ability to build rapport with children and support diverse learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in an elementary or special education setting.
• Associates degree or higher, or completion of the ParaPro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with IEPs in general education and/or special education settings.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans as directed by special education staff.
• Assist in delivering academic, social, emotional, and behavioral interventions.
• Support students with communication needs, fine/gross motor needs, and daily living skills as required.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families.
