Job summary

Qualifications

• New Jersey Instructional Certification -Spanish
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Proof of US Citizenship or appropriate work authorization

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lesson plans under Board-approved model
• Develop lesson materials to adapt instruction to each pupil’s needs
• Set objectives in lesson prep and weekly plans
• Plan age-appropriate class activities for diverse learners
• Collaborate with staff during planning times
• Incorporate IEP requirements into planning and instruction
• Provide instruction aligned to Board-approved curriculum
• Utilize curricula, textbooks and technology to meet standards
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain records of progress
• Identify pupil needs and provide engaging instruction
• Establish standards of pupil behavior conducive to learning
• Use differentiated instruction and accommodations as required by IEPs
• Refer students to support personnel using district procedures
• Create a respectful classroom environment and enforce policies
• Participate in professional development and district meetings
• Communicate with parents about academic and social-emotional expectations
• Collaborate with staff to support struggling learners
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with law and policy
