Job summary

The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full-time Special Education/General Education Social Worker to support students with IEP goals and provide related social work services to general education populations in grades K-4. Job description

The Westbrook School Department is seeking a full time Special Education/General Education Social Worker to support and provide related services to students that have Social Work goals on their Individual Education Plans as well as support and provide Social Work services to our General Education population that need services individually, group, or within classrooms. The position will require working with students in grades K-4 with social-emotional needs and challenges that require support. The position requires: the eagerness to be part of a dynamic team, knowledge of interventions, and participation in IEP meetings. The Social Worker will provide comprehensive services, complete State of Maine paperwork requirements and meet special education timelines. The qualified candidate will be provided: competitive salaries and benefits, three college courses paid each year (University rate), continued professional development, and opportunities for summer employment. Westbrook School District Special Services Department provides student-centered instruction to support the diverse learning needs of students districtwide, in grades kindergarten through high school. This is a position within the Teachers' Collective Bargaining Agreement. The range of salary is $52,393 to $98,248 depending on experience and education. The CBA may be found here.
