Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Texas Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Some experience working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and work with individual students or groups in assigned subject(s).
• Work with classroom teacher and/or campus administration to address areas of weakness as identified from assessments.
• Maintain an orderly work area.
• Keep records of student progress such as behavior, grades, and attendance.
• Maintain strict student confidentiality.
• Keep supervisor informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Communicate with teachers regarding students' progress and needs as requested.
• Provide a positive, calm, and consistent learning environment for students.
• Communicate with students in a positive and encouraging way.
• Help keep administrative records and prepare required reports, including timesheets.
• Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and policies.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain a professional relationship with campus staff.
• Be a positive role model for students.
• Support mission of school district.
