Job summary

Elementary Teacher - 1st Grade, Heredia-Arriaga School
Job Summary

NUSD is offering a Spanish dual immersion program at our new Heredia-Arriaga School campus that opened in 2023-2024. We are hiring teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers are required to have a multiple subject teaching credential with a bilingual authorization. Internal and external candidates are eligible to apply. Teachers with experience and training in early elementary dual immersion education, who are team-orientated, collaborative, and who have a passion and commitment to the goals of dual immersion education are encouraged to apply.

Plan, prepare and implement lesson plans for assigned classes; to provide instruction; to evaluate student progress and provide special assistance as necessary; and to perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a valid Multiple Subject credential with bilingual authorization (BCLAD) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required.

To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and reference checks. Please note that we require three references, one of them must be the most recent supervisor.
