ESTES PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT R-3 is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Paraprofessional for the Elementary School. The role involves supporting students with Down syndrome, autism, Asperger's, and behavioral challenges, and collaborating with general and special education staff.

You will assist with academics, support daily routines, and may perform afternoon bus loop duties in all weather. Strong communication with students, staff, and families is essential; adaptability to changing

• Flexibility in being able to change assignments daily and work with students with a wide variety of disabilities.

• Must be able to help Special Education students with all academic areas.
• May include afternoon bus loop duty in all-weather as part of daily assignment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have experience and knowledge of students with Downs Syndrome, Autism, Asperger's, and behavioral issues

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be highly qualified as required by CDE, including at least a high school diploma or its equivalency and 2 years of college


• Shall have the ability for sitting, light lifting, stooping, all body movements as related to the job description


• Must be able to drive District vehicles for student transportation as needed


• Certified, or willingness to be certified, in CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention), First Aid, and CPR

Salary range is $18.66 to $22.32 per hour with single benefits. Position open until filled.
