Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based speech and language services in an elementary school setting in Frederick County, Maryland. This independent contractor role offers competitive compensation and collaborative clinical support.

The SLP will conduct evaluations, develop IEP-aligned treatment plans, and collaborate with educators and families to support student communication and academic participation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent qualifying education.
• Maryland SLP licensure and any required school-based credentials.
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and intervention services to elementary school students.
• Assess and address students’ speech, language, communication, and related developmental needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other school professionals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, progress reports, and service records.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate student goals.
• Help students improve communication skills to support academic achievement and classroom participation.
