Job summary

Bethel School District is hiring for a school meal program position. The role prepares food, sets up serving areas, serves meals to students and staff, and cleans up after service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will supervise other kitchen helpers, assist in daily orders, and participate in district meal-time operations. The position requires SNA certification and the ability to work during school hours.

Qualifications

• Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment; SNA certification required.
• Experience serving food desirable; experience working with school age children desirable.
• SNA (State Nutrition Association) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up for serving meals and uses serving carts and ovens.
• Serves meals to students and staff; assists with portioning and presentation.
• Maintains cleanliness of serving and kitchen areas between meal periods.
• Guides the work of Child Nutrition helper(s) and/or Point of Service helper at location.
• Prepares list of next day's order for food and supplies; may perform cashier duties if needed.
