Fairport Central School District is seeking a Custodial Assistant at Northside Elementary School. Under supervision, you perform general cleaning and maintenance, support students and staff, and help keep classrooms and common areas orderly.

This role offers morning shifts, 6:30–3:00 or 7:00–3:30, Monday through Friday, with 1/2 hour lunch. Minimum starting wage is $18.50 per hour under FCASSP contract, with summers and breaks per contract.

Formación

• One (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in building cleaning work.
• Must have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or be able to meet transportation needs.

Responsabilidades

• Performs standard cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming; washes and dusts office and school furniture and bathroom fixtures; replenishes dispensers with disposable paper products.
• Performs simple service and repair work to furniture and electrical/mechanical equipment (tightening bolts, replacing bulbs, cords, washers).
• Collects and disposes of trash and assists in moving, distributing, and transporting furniture, supplies, and equipment.
• Turns off lights, secures and locks windows and doors; shovels snow and salts steps; operates lawnmower for grounds maintenance.
• Writes work orders for maintenance and repair jobs; checks cleaners have completed assignments.
• Assists in lawnmower maintenance such as greasing, wheel replacement, and starter-cord replacement.
