Job summary

Volunteers Of America Community Education And Development Co is seeking an Elementary School Counselor at Ballington Academy in El Centro, CA. Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field is required.
• Valid California PPS credential(s) for School Counseling is required.
• California Driver's License and reliable transportation may be required.
• Ability to pass criminal background and fingerprint clearances is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement intervention plans for students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Link students to services and supports.
• Assist students in developing conflict resolution, self-regulation, and social-emotional skills.
• Support PBIS, MTSS, and restorative practices within the school.
