Job summary

Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a compassionate Elementary School Counselor for Mark Twain Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time position focuses on supporting students' academic, social-emotional, and career development in a positive, inclusive environment.

Requirements include a Master's in School Counseling, valid Iowa K-12 license, experience with elementary students preferred, and knowledge of MTSS, SEL, and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid Iowa School Counselor License with K12 endorsement.
• Experience with elementary-aged students preferred.

Terms of Employment

Salary

$50,400 (MA, Step 0; based on the 20262027 salary schedule)

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid Iowa School Counselor License with K12 Professional School Counselor endorsement.
• Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), social-emotional learning, and crisis response practices preferred.
• Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.
