Job summary

LEARN Charter School Network in Washington, DC seeks an Orchestra Teacher to provide high-quality music education to elementary students on a contract, on-site basis. You will plan and deliver engaging orchestra lessons, teach violin and cello to beginners and intermediate players, organize rehearsals, and prepare students for performances.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in orchestral music and music theory.
• Experience designing age-appropriate curricula for K–8 music programs.
• Ability to teach violin and cello to beginners/intermediate players.
• Commitment to an inclusive, encouraging learning environment.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to support LEARN’s college-prep mission and work with families and staff.
