Job summary

Encore Music & Performing Arts in South Pasadena, CA is seeking a qualified Elementary Music Teacher for 3rd–5th grade. This part-time, on-site role pays $35.00 per hour and runs three days per week during the school day, culminating in two student performances (Winter and Spring).

We provide lesson plans and written performances with practice videos. Beginning hourly rate is $35.00, with potential for a raise in January.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater in a related field.
• Previous classroom or group teaching experience.
• Ability to teach individuals while meeting class goals.
• Good people skills; works well with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead general music instruction for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
• Teach on-site, in-person sessions three days per week during the school day.
• Prepare lesson plans and provide practice videos for performances.
• Coordinate around two performances (Winter and Spring) during the school year.
• Possibly supervise the After School 5th Grade Beginning Band if taking on both roles.
