Diocese of Harrisburg is seeking an Elementary School Music Teacher for St. Margaret Mary School in Harrisburg, PA. This part-time, hourly position involves developing and delivering a music program aligned with Catholic values, and creating engaging lessons for students from PK through 8th grade.

The teacher will plan lessons, assess student progress, maintain records, and collaborate with parents and staff to support a positive learning environment consistent with diocesan curricula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music or elementary education required.
• Experience teaching music to elementary students preferred.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and assess student progress.
• Familiarity with Catholic school curricula is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops music curricula aligned with school goals.
• Plans lessons and instructional materials for PK-8 students.
• Maintains a safe classroom environment and manages behavior.
• Assesses student musical knowledge and records progress.
• Coordinates rehearsals and school performances outside the classroom.
