Job summary

The Consortium of Jewish Day Schools is seeking an experienced Elementary or Middle School Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, or possibly starting immediately, to inspire achievement in a private, religious school environment.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, developing schemes of work, integrating technology, managing behavior, and providing feedback to monitor progress across grades 1–5 and Kindergarten.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Common Core Standards.
• Effective classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
• Team player with strong work ethic.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience and 3 references (1 from previous employer).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests in line with established procedures and monitor use of materials.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline and provide feedback on student work.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
