Job summary

The Natick Public Schools is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Monitor for Memorial Elementary School in Natick, MA. The position focuses on student safety during lunch and recess and maintaining orderly cafeteria operations.

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with lunch service, and helping with cleanup, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:45 am to 1:45 pm. Candidates should be organized, patient, and have strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred but not required.
• Understanding of child development and supervising students in informal settings.
• Experience working with children is required.
• Candidates should be organized and patient.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and Portuguese are highly desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of lunch periods at the elementary school level.
• Assistance in the delivery of lunches.
• Assurance of student safety during lunch periods inside and outside the building.
• Assistance in cleanup of lunch areas after lunch periods.
• Other duties as assigned by the building department.
