Job summary

Prior Lake - Savage Area Schools is seeking a Lunchroom/Noon Supervisor for an elementary setting. You will supervise students during lunch, enforce safety rules, and assist with conflict resolution to maintain a safe and positive lunch environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and prefer prior experience with school-aged children. This non-exempt role reports to the Building Principal and supports daily lunch and recess routines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students during lunch periods to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment.
• Monitor student behavior and help resolve conflicts in lunchroom and outdoor areas.
• Enforce school rules and safety procedures during lunch and recess.
• Keep lunchroom orderly and support proper student conduct and routines.
• Monitor student movement and time outside to ensure timely return to class.
• Assist students who are injured or ill and seek help as needed.
• Ensure students are appropriately dressed for weather when outdoors.
• Report safety concerns, accidents, or unusual situations to the building principal or supervisor.
• Support the building principal in reinforcing lunchroom and playground expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality according to district policies.
• Promote positive interactions and respectful communication among students and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
