Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Lunch Hour Aide for Diamond Elementary School. The 1-hour/10-month temporary position (TPT) monitors student activities during lunch and recess and may assist teachers during classroom activities.

Under supervision, the aide enforces safety and behavior rules, supports teachers as needed, and may perform light clerical tasks. Prior experience with elementary students and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma required.
• Experience working with children of elementary school age expected.
• First aid and CPR certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitors student activities and behavior on playground and during lunch periods.
• Monitors classes during testing or brief teacher absence; may assist teachers in classroom activities.
• Performs general clerical tasks.
