HJ STAFFING is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Elementary Life Skills classroom at Stafford Elementary School in Stafford, TX.

The role focuses on leading a self-contained classroom for grades 1–5, developing and implementing IEPs, delivering modified core content with essential life skills, and collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, administrators, and parents to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas EC–12 Special Education certification is required.
• Valid Texas Generalist or Core Subjects certification for elementary grades 1–5 is required.
• Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and crisis-deescalation skills.
• Ability to pass state background checks and clearance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a self-contained Elementary Life Skills classroom (Grades 1–5).
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Deliver modified core curriculum with life skills and behavioral strategies.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, administrators, and parents.
• Maintain compliance records, progress tracking, and evaluation reports.
