Mesquite-Isd is looking for an Elementary Librarian to supervise the school library, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking. The selected candidate will manage library resources and work closely with teachers to enhance student learning experiences.

This role requires a Master's degree, a valid teaching certificate, and at least two years of teaching experience. The position begins in the 2026-2027 school year and has a full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Valid Texas librarian or learning resources specialist certificate.
• Previous successful teaching experience of at least two (2) years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the school library facility.
• Create an engaging and innovative teaching and learning culture.
• Ensure alignment of library program goals with school improvement plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to design engaging learning experiences.
• Evaluate library program against district, state, and national standards.
