Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks an Elementary Classroom Teacher to implement the district-approved curriculum and support student growth in academic and interpersonal skills.

Under the School Principal's supervision, you will document progress and tailor instruction to individual needs, plan lessons, assess learning, and communicate with families. Relevant state certification and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education are required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum concepts.
• Knowledge of data information systems and analysis.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
• Ability to use computer networks and software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes safe, conducive learning environments for instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and translates them into learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction for individual needs.
• Instructs on citizenship and other mandated subjects.
• Pursues professional knowledge through seminars or research.
• Keeps accurate records of grades, attendance, and progress.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates with families.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards and classroom management.
• Collaborates with elementary staff and participates in meetings.
• Selects and inventories books, equipment, and supplies.
• Supervises students during school activities and transportation.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
