Job summary

Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking an ESSA - Instructional Assistant at Harritt Elementary School to support a licensed teacher and implement instructional activities under the current lesson plan. You will help create a safe, healthy learning environment and perform general clerical duties.

The position is classified, 6 hours per day, 188 days per year, temporary with benefits, with an hourly range of $20.72 - $26.56. ESSA documentation is required for applicants.

Qualifications

• ESSA requirements for paraprofessionals in Title I funded schools must meet proficiency in reading, writing and math.
• Transcript and/or test results may need to be attached to verify ESSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed teacher in planning and implementing educational activities.
• Support students in performing instructional activities aligned with lesson plans.
