KEARNY PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking Elementary (Grades 3-6) Mathematics After School Program Teachers to run small-group math intervention sessions after the regular school day. Sessions will focus on key topics and fluency using iReady Tools for Instruction lessons.

The program runs 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) with 60-minute sessions at the home school, beginning January 11 and ending March 15, 2027. Internal applicants only, deadline October 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Responsible for teaching math to students in grades 3–6.
• Facilitate small groups of 5–6 students with targeted fluency practice.
• Utilize iReady Tools for Instruction lessons to guide interventions.
• Demonstrate effective classroom management during after-school sessions.

Responsabilités

• Lead after-school math sessions for small groups (60 minutes).
• Target key topics and fluency to bring students to grade level.
• Coordinate with the District Supervisor and Program Coordinator.

DESCRIPTION:

The Elementary Math Intervention Program will be geared toward students in grades 3-6 who are below grade level in Math. Teachers will work with small groups(5-6 students) with a focus on key topics and fluency practice using iReady Tools for Instruction lessons.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

• -Program will begin the week of January 11 and conclude the week of March 15, 2027.
• - 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday);
• - Groups will meet for 60 minutes at the end of the school day;
• - Sessions will take place in the teacher's home school;
• - Orientation will take place in December.

REMUNERATION:

Remuneration will be in accordance with the current KEA Salary Guide. This program is funded through Title I. Size and scope of the program will be determined by the available funds. Duties must be performed outside of regular school duties/hours.
