Job summary

New Providence Board of Ed seeks an Elementary Gifted & Talented Teacher as a long-term substitute. The role involves leading math enrichment for grades 4–6, developing theme-based units, and guiding Passion Projects. Collaboration with other teachers ensures strong in-class enrichment and accurate student placement through assessments.

The position requires an Elementary School Teacher certification for grades K-6 and will operate at Salt Brook and AWR Elementary Schools within the district.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enrichment experiences for identified students.
• Ability to facilitate math-based enrichment across grades 4-6.
• Experience guiding student projects involving inquiry and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate theme-based enrichment units for identified students in grades 4-6.
• Provide mathematics enrichment resources and collaborate with grades 4-6 teachers to support in-class enrichment.
• Guide eligible students through independent mathematics Passion Projects, including inquiry, research, and presentation.
• Administer and review assessments to identify and place students in appropriate enrichment services.
