Hebrew Language Academy in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Elementary General Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. You will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction and collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching practices.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree; NY teaching certification or progress toward certification is preferred. We offer guaranteed salary increases within the SuRGE program and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree is a plus.
• K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting is a plus.
• Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus.
• Hold NY teacher certification or working towards certification is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction.
• Utilize Responsive Classroom techniques to manage the classroom.
• Monitor student progress and refine teaching practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum.
