IF YOU ARE NOT A BARTLESVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS EMPLOYEE YOU MUST PROVIDE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION AT TIME OF HIRING.

Employee must be able to walk for4 hours. Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds. Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation. Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents. The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist student with total physical basic life functions.
• Required to lift and position student during the day.
• Assist student with special feeding or tube feeding.
• Required to complete and file Medicaid forms.
• Supervise student outside of the classroom.
• May require lifting student in and out of wheelchair, occasional riding of the bus from school to home in absence of the regular bus assistant.
• Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully-licensed teachers.
