Qualifications

• Master's Degree in content area or aligned content area (Preferred)
• Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators License (PEL) (K-8 Required) or current, comparable out-of-state licensure
• Experience with planning and teaching elementary school (Strongly Preferred)
• Experience in urban elementary school setting (Strongly Preferred) • Knowledge of subject matter; assessment and classroom management techniques

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver standards-aligned lesson plans and instructional materials
• Assess student performance at frequent and regular intervals
• Maintain accurate and daily attendance records
• Build positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, parents
• Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse backgrounds
