Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Teacher for Guilford Elementary School in Sterling, VA. The teacher will design, implement, and assess instruction for students from kindergarten through fifth grade, aiming to develop academic potential and positive learning behaviors.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, collaborating with families and staff, and supporting a safe, engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Holds or eligible for a Virginia teaching license in the appropriate subject area.
Demonstrated knowledge of elementary content, curriculum, and teaching methods.

Ability to build effective relationships with students, peers, admins, and parents.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Designs engaging lessons using Virginia Standards of Learning and LCPS curriculum.
Personalizes instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Assesses student growth relative to goals and outcomes.
Adheres to LCPS assessment and grading policies.
Monitors student behavior and supports management in various settings.
Collaborates with colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
May supervise teacher assistants, student teachers, and volunteers.
Participates in the school's professional learning community.
