Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience of at least one year in teaching or tutoring.
• Mastery of elementary school ELA concepts and skills.
• Understanding urban education disparities including racial, socio-economic, and cultural disparities.
• Punctuality and reliability with strict schedules.
• Ability to commute to Bronx, NY.
• Ability to navigate a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group tutoring (1–4 students) in ELA.
• Deliver push-in or pull-out services in school settings.
• Take daily attendance and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff.
• Maintain professional conduct and timely attendance.
