Job summary

The Elementary Math Teacher at Leland School District designs and delivers engaging math instruction for grades K–5, building foundational skills and a love of learning. You will create a supportive, inclusive classroom that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and confidence in problem solving.

Qualifications

The Elementary ELA Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging math instruction to students in grades K–5. Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction & Curriculum

    • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
    • Integrate technology, manipulatives, and real‑world applications to enhance understanding.
  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring
    • Develop and administer formative and summative assessments.
    • Track student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
    • Use data to adjust instruction and support student growth.
  • Classroom Management
    • Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Implement positive behavior strategies to encourage student engagement.
    • Promote collaboration and teamwork among students.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student success.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
    • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
